The Unicate PCS, Unicate's
Production Control System, is a real-time, bilingual (English/French) software
designed to offer companies full knowledge and control over operations
and costs related to direct labor. Easy to use and fully detailed, the
Unicate PCS allows companies to make more accurate decisions regarding
time and resource allocation as well as production. The Unicate PCS
is network-ready and adapts to companies' own pre-established procedures,
in order to offer convenience, and to save them time and money.
The time and attendance module handles
employees' hours, overtime and holidays, which were previously done manually.
Companies can define the calculation of overtime hours in the system's
setup, along with corresponding salary rates, and include holidays. The
Unicate PCS does everything automatically: no more punch cards or
compiling time reports.
Each work station (bar code reader)
is recognized independently by the system. The bar code method gives way
to a status report, either on screen or printout. This displays work in
process, work to follow, progress on any given lot or operation, and which
employees are working on it. By evaluating work in process and work to
follow, the Unicate PCS determines how many hours each department
and machine will be occupied, and updates its estimates for time of delivery
each time an operation is completed.
The system calculates efficiencies,
cost and time per style, cut and operator. It generates comparative cuts
per style to display unit costs, which determines break-even quantities
per style and cut. The system prints reports on machine load, employee
and cut efficiencies, time and attendance, daily operator reports, period
ending reports, and comparative cuts per style.
The Unicate PCS is completely
user friendly, and requires no special knowledge or training. Unicate Network
